Fly to Johannesburg
Depart London Heathrow on an overnight flight to Johannesburg.

Damaraland is home to the desert adapted elephant, black rhino and giraffe; all thrive in the harsh conditions. Explore the 500 mile stretch of wild and windswept coastline of the Skeleton Coast, take a scenic flight to view the dramatic backdrop.

Fly on to Windhoek and connect with a local flight to Sossusvlei for a 2 night stay at Little Kulala. Sossusvlei has an unspoilt desert beauty, home to some of the tallest sand dunes in the world. These rich red dunes are shaped by the wind from all directions, some locally known as star dunes, this area is a photographers' dream. (FI)

Drive a quad bike across the Namib desert sands, along allocated pathways to preserve the dunes and the delicate habitat. Alternatively, if water levels permit, take a boat trip along the Kunene River, where crocodiles seem at odds with the surreal desert landscape, or experience a cultural encounter with the nomadic Himba tribe. Serra Cafema CampFly to the Skeleton Coast and stay for 3 nights at Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp. The collision of Namib Desert heat and cold Benguerra current causes fog, perhaps the reason why there have been so many shipwrecks along this coast, explore this bleak but beautiful location home to desert adapted wildlife and Cape Fur Seals. Hoanib Skeleton Coast CampFly to Etosha for 2 nights at Little Ongava. Stretching as far as the eye can see, Etosha’s huge, parched pan shimmers in the heat, providing a hazy backdrop for zebra, springbok, emus and giraffes that gather on the semi-arid grasslands. Endangered black rhino, elephants and lions are drawn to the park’s many waterholes. (FI)
